Your Questions,
Our Answers!
-
How do I get to Nios Spa Astoria from Manhattan?
Take the M, R, E, or F train to Steinway Street. Exit the station and walk one block to 31-76 Steinway Street. Total transit time from Midtown is typically 15–20 minutes—often faster than a crosstown cab.
The Concierge Note: The commute is shorter than your Seamless delivery window. Steinway Street drops you practically at our door. If you’re driving from Manhattan, the Queensboro Bridge feeds directly onto Steinway. Ground-floor entrance, zero steps, fully accessible. Most clients are surprised how quick the trip is.
-
Is parking available near the Astoria location?
Yes. Metered street parking is available directly in front of the spa on Steinway Street. Public garages are within one block on 31st Avenue and 30th Avenue, including Icon Parking and SP+.
The Concierge Note: Astoria parking is infinitely easier than Manhattan. Street spaces turn over frequently (about $1.50/hour). If you’re arriving during peak weekend hours, the garage on 31st Ave is a reliable backup. Most clients budget 5–10 minutes to park and walk in.
-
What makes the Queens location different from Manhattan or Brooklyn?
Opened in 2024, the Astoria studio is the newest expression of the Nios concept. It features ground-floor accessibility, updated infrastructure, and the first full integration of our 11-speaker immersive sound healing system in every room. Appointment availability is also higher than Columbus Circle or Brooklyn.
The Concierge Note: This is the Director’s Cut of Nios Spa. The sound isolation and lighting are perfectly calibrated, and it functions as our release valve—if Manhattan is booked solid, Queens often has same-day openings without a waitlist.
-
Can I book a same-day appointment at the Queens location?
Yes. Same-day availability is typically better here than at our Manhattan or Brooklyn locations. Openings are most common on weekday mornings. Evenings and weekends fill faster but remain more flexible than Columbus Circle.
The Concierge Note: If you’re a “decide today, do today” person, Astoria is your spot. Book online or call (212) 863-9058—the front desk sees cancellations before they hit the system. Queens rewards spontaneity.
-
How much does a facial or electrolysis session cost at this location?
Pricing is consistent across all Nios locations—no borough markup. Express facials start at $100 (30 minutes), full facials at $160 (60 minutes). Membership saves 20% on services. Electrolysis starts at approximately $30 for 5 minutes. See our pricing page for current rates.
The Concierge Note: A facial costs the same in Queens as it does in Columbus Circle. Your treatment history syncs across locations, so you can book wherever your day takes you.
-
What should I do if I’m running late to my Brooklyn appointment?
Call immediately. If you’re under 15 minutes late, your appointment can usually proceed as planned. Beyond that, shortening may be required to respect the next client.
The Concierge Note: Brooklyn traffic and train delays are real. The earlier you call, the more flexibility we have. Clients with tight schedules often book weekday mornings or early afternoons when buffer time exists.
-
Is the Astoria location good for first-time electrolysis clients?
Yes. All Nios locations follow the same FDA-approved electrolysis protocols and specialist training. The Astoria advantage is availability—electrolysis requires consistent scheduling, typically every 2–3 weeks over 8–18 months.
The Concierge Note: Electrolysis is a commitment, not a one-off. Starting in Queens is strategic—longer sessions feel calmer here. Complimentary consultations are available to map your treatment area and timeline.
-
Can I walk to Nios Spa from Long Island City?
Yes. We’re located on the Astoria–LIC border at 31-76 Steinway Street. Walking from Court Square or Gantry Plaza takes 35–40 minutes. A faster option is Citi Bike—the station at Steinway & 30th Ave is one block away, cutting travel time to about 10 minutes.
The Concierge Note: For LIC clients, this is often faster than heading into Manhattan. Bad weather? The M or R from Court Square is one stop, two minutes.
-
What’s nearby if I have time before or after my appointment?
Astoria is a destination. Steinway Street is surrounded by independent cafes and local favorites. The Museum of the Moving Image is a 5-minute drive (15-minute walk). Astoria Park offers waterfront views about 1.4 miles north.
The Concierge Note: Make it a mini day trip. Grab coffee at Gossip Coffee, visit the museum, or walk to 30th Avenue for Greek staples like Taverna Kyclades or Milkflower. Most clients skip the chains and eat local—budget 90–120 minutes if you’re exploring.
